My goal is to affect viewers on as many levels as possible - emotional, intellectual and spiritual. I believe viewers bring something of themselves to their experience of looking at an abstract painting; as their experiences change...so, too, will their interaction with the painting. I like that. In that way, my pictures continue to live and grow even after they are “finished.”

I work in oils, acrylics, sculpture and mixed media. I spent many years as a teacher of dance and drama. I found my experiences in choreography and directing very compatible with my work in the visual arts. For me, paper is like a stage...the forms and shapes are dancers. The space, line and rhythm that move the dancer also move the eye of the viewer through the printed, drawn or painted images. My choreography became transformed through a new medium.
